The Repsol Reciclex® range, which includes polyolefins and polyols, promotes the circular economy by utilizing 100 kilotons per year of non-recyclable plastic waste as a secondary raw material at its ISCC Plus certified sites. This certification, obtained in 2019, ensures the traceability and sustainability of raw materials through the mass balance approach, allowing for a gradual increase in the use of circular materials and a reduction in fossil resources.

The new products complement the Repsol Reciclex® range, based on polyolefins with mechanically recycled post-consumer plastic, which have been marketed for about three years. To meet high technical requirements, Repsol collaborates with various stakeholders across the value chain to deliver sustainable solutions for sectors such as home, furniture, and automotive, where recycling is still limited.

This commitment supports the goals of the Circular Plastics Alliance (CPA) of the European Commission, demonstrating Repsol’s role in transforming waste into circular resins, contributing to more sustainable production.
